The Munich Business Plan Competition (MBPW) is an initiative founded by
industry and universities. Its activities aim at encouraging young people to set
up businesses and at creating networks for young entrepreneurs in the Munich
area. The MBPW stimulates and supports the founding of companies on a wider
basis with a focus on innovative and fast growing startups in the technology
sectors. It also offers support to the MBPW alumni, the former participants and
their growing companies. In 12 years over 530 enterprises have emerged from
the Munich Business Plan Competition. About 4.250 new jobs have been
created and over Euro 554 Mio. seed and growth capital have been invested in
these companies. The Munich Business Plan Competition is one of the leading
business plan competitions in the world and linked to an international network
of entrepreneurial organisations.
